Music

We all like to touch the stuff we buy but if we would just go a bit modern and not buy Cd’s any more and just order it online we could save a lot of resources from the environment and they would also not end up on a landfill any more.

See how easy it is to make a difference to the world by just doing something simple as not buy a music CD any more.

These days I have all my music on my computer and my iPod nano and so why do I sill need a CD?

Don’t know if I should say this but did you ever think of getting a CD from the library if you want to listen to a “real” CD? and you can often just make MP3’s of them to although you can’s keep it without buy a licence for it ;)

I would say think a little bit about this post and see if you  are willing to help our world a little bit.

Bulk shopping

Lots of us out there are not keeping to much inventory of the products they need and have said that then you also know what that means. It means that we buy smaller quantities and therefore need more packaging then if we would buy a bigger bulk.

You know you can of course start shopping some items with your friends and so saving some money and saving the environment because now they need less packaging.

Think about it when you shop next time!

A desk clock working on water

We all want to know what time it is and to do that we need a device that tells time and most of those use batteries and batteries are bad for the environment. But not this little clock because it works on Water and it keeps working for weeks and weeks just on a single boost of H2O and it even has a little vase in the back to that you can put a nice flower on your desk to.

Check out this cool little clock and if you get one your self you can save in batteries and the environment.

Go see this little fellow at ThinkGeek

Last week I was shopping at a COOP grocery store in Calgary and when I told them that I didn’t need a plastic bag because I brought my own bag they told me if I wanted the money for the bag deducted from my bill or give it to a good cause. That of course surprised me because I didn’t think that stores offered this but the 3 cents that they where willing to give me could of course pull some of us over the line to bring our own shopping bags.

It is kinda sad that stores need to do this but on the other side if this will make it that less and less plastic bags will end up on the landfill then why not.

I choice to give the 3 cents to the good cause and I hope that by me and others doing this we changes two things so next time you shop in a COOP in Calgary think about this and bring you own bag!
