“Drive-thru” parking? That’s driving through a parking spot to the one right in front, so that your car is facing forward and later you can quickly and easily pull out of your spot to get out. This little trick - if parking space permits - will save you lots of gas. First of all, backing up a cold vehicle costs more energy than simply driving forward. You will also stop-and-start one less time, also reducing excess fuel consumption. Your wallet and the air you breathe will both be better off.
